International e-commerce · Medellín, CO

Problem

Sol.Girasol e-commerce home page
The store live, with its own brand identity

Sol.Girasol sold its products in the most traditional way possible: in person and at markets, with no digital sales channel at all. To grow beyond its physical reach, the brand needed a full online store — but the challenge wasn't just "having a website," it was building something that truly spoke the Colombian market's language, not a store designed for Brazil with a translation layered on top.

Process and decisions

I built the store in WordPress + WooCommerce + Elementor, with special attention to local adaptations: Spanish language, Colombian currency and the payment methods used in the Medellín market — a decision that avoids the most common international e-commerce mistake, which is delivering a "translated" version instead of one designed for the local buyer. The product catalog and checkout flow were organized to move from absolute zero (100% manual sales) to a functional, simple channel, without trying to solve advanced automations before validating the basics.

Result

Client satisfied — for the first time, the brand has a sales channel that runs without depending on being physically present at a market or store. The site is live, with catalog and checkout configured and working.
